The Acura Integra Type R (also known as Honda Integra Type R) is a front-wheel drive sports coupe built from 1998 to 2000. It uses a 1.8L inline-four, which produces 195bhp. Based on the Honda Integra DC2 series, it was rebadged as an Acura for the United States.
The Type R was the most expensive and fastest variant of the DC Integra generation. It is also a popular car in the import tuning scene.
Need for Speed: UndergroundEdit
The car has a mediocre acceleration, but can reach a higher top speed than most cars in Underground. However, the Type R suffers from understeer whilst taking corners too.
Need for Speed: Underground features a highly modified variant of the Integra Type R, which is branded as "Vortex". It can be driven at the beginning of the Underground Mode during a dream sequence and is unlockable for Quick Race, once the player has collected 46,000 style points.
Need for Speed: ProStreetEdit
- The Integra Type R is branded as a Honda model in non-North American releases of Need for Speed: Underground.
