Ferrari is an Italian sports car manufacturer founded in 1929. It started off as a motorsport team and gained great reputation in various motorsport events, especially in Formula One.

Ferrari road cars are internationally regarded as dream cars, because of their flamboyant styling and performance. The company is owned by FIAT.

Ferrari vehicles were not featured in the series following Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 until the release of the Ferrari Racing Pack for the Xbox 360 release of Need for Speed: Shift.[1] They were not featured again until the release of Need for Speed: Rivals.
