Ferrari is an Italian sports car manufacturer founded in 1929 and owned by FIAT. Before Ferrari built road cars, it gained great reputation in motorsport events, which is still today, especially in Formula One.

The street legal Ferraris are internationally regarded as dream cars, because of their flamboyant styling and performance.

After Hot Pursuit 2, Ferraris never came back to the series until the release of the Ferrari Racing DLC Pack for Need for Speed: Shift. Throughout the series the F50 made most appearances, although the 550 and its convertible version were regularly included in many NFS installments.
