Rockport Police Department Crest

The Rockport Police Department (RPD) is a police force featured in Need for Speed: Most Wanted that will do anything and everything it can to prevent illegal street racing in Rockport.

Police units are seen commonly driving throughout each borough of Rockport. They keep track of frequent law breakers on a database. This database is also used by the Blacklist as a Rap Sheet to arrange the rankings of each member by.

The Sergeant of the Rockport Police Department is Jonathan Cross. He drives a special variation of the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and is partnered with an unnamed female officer. Mia Townsend is an undercover cop of the RPD and took part in an assignment to arrest all members of the Blacklist as well as bringing an end to illegal street racing in the Rockport area.

The Rockport Police Department commits an endless number of units during police pursuits. A wanted suspect is pursued based on their vehicle's Heat Level with a series of mandated units and tactics being utilised based on the current Heat Level Condition.
