Need for Speed: Carbon also features the Fire Truck (also known as Palmont FD1), where it is classified as a Tier 0 Muscle Car. Players can unlock the Fire Truck for Quick Race upon completion of Reward Cards. It has a better top speed and handling than the Dump Truck.
- A fire truck can be encountered in the PlayStation 2 release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. It is seen quenching a forest fire on Coast Parklands.
- The Fire Truck for Need for Speed: Carbon can be downloaded for free on Xbox LIVE.
- The Fire Truck can be found in the game files of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Need for Speed: Underground, Need for Speed: Underground 2, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii releases of Need for Speed: Undercover and in Need for Speed: World but it is not utilised as a traffic vehicle in any of those titles.
- In the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii releases of Need for Speed: Undercover, the Fire Truck is driveable, although this is not possible during the course of normal gameplay.
