Need for Speed: World
Template:NFSWlink The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 was released on November 25th, 2011 in Need for Speed: World as a Tier 2 car, but was retired from March 8th, 2012 until June 26th, 2012.
Since August 22nd, 2012, it has been featured as a 'B' Class vehicle. On September 18th, 2012, an in-game cash purchasable variant was released.
The stock version has a 505 overall rating and costs 1,000,000. It is also purchasable with pre-installed Amerikon Speedsystems Street Tuned parts. This version has a 575 overall rating and costs 3,000.
The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 is notable for possessing a powerful nitrous boost and acceleration. Similar to the Ford GT40, the Boss 302 has a precise and stable handling. Top speed is 158 mph (255 km/h).
Special Variants
On December 18th, 2012, the Boss 302 was released in a "B-Spec" trim. It has a custom paint job and is customised with aftermarket parts. It is upgraded with a mixed set of Race and Pro upgrades, as well as five 3-star Skill Mods. It has a 599 overall rating and costs 10,000.
Need for Speed: The Run
The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 is featured as an unlocked Tier 1 in Need for Speed: The Run.
Despite being a torquey car, the Boss 302 has controllable handling, which is better than the Chevrolet El Camino SS. It appears to accelerate slightly slower for that, but is also capable of reaching a higher top speed. In races with the police, the Boss 302 can withstand most collisions well.
The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 is a suitable car for race tracks, which allow the full use of its acceleration and top speed, since it takes corners slower than other cars within its tier.
Special Variants
The 1969 Mustang Boss 302 also appears as a Tier 4 car - the "NFS Edition" - and as another Tier 4 car - the "Old Spice Signature Edition."
The NFS Edition can be driven in The Run mode whilst the Old Spice variant was included in the Old Spice 'Smell Faster' Pack.
Both cars have identical performance; they are capable of reaching a top speed of 191 mph (307km/h) and have a "Very Difficult" handling rating as they are prone to oversteer. Their acceleration put them on the same level with most Tier 4 cars including the Tier 5 variants of the Nissan 370Z.
