The Ford Mustang SSP (abbreviation for Special Service Package) is a police package for the third generation of the Ford Mustang. The Mustang SSP was mainly designed for high-speed police chases and was often utilised as Highway Patrol vehicle.

The Need for SpeedEdit

The Ford Mustang SSP appears in The Need for Speed as a police vehicle. It is the only car in the game used by the police to chase and stop the player in various race courses in the game. It cannot be driven by the player.
