The Ford TS50 is one of the T-series of the Ford Falcon. These were marketed under the FTE name, FTE being an acronym for Ford Tickford Experience, a joint venture between Ford Australia and Tickford.
The FTE T Series models, which were produced from 1999 to 2002, featured hand-built engines with an engraved plaque bearing the name of the engine builder. The TS50 was available with a five-speed manual gearbox by Tremec.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2Edit
The Ford TS50 is featured in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 as a Class 4 car and as a Class E car in the PlayStation 2 release. A police variant is not featured in the PlayStation 2 version.
The Ford TS50 performs decently. Its strongest trait is its high top speed, which is comparable to that of the Mercedes-Benz CL 55 AMG. The quick acceleration provided by the 5.6L V8 engine comes at the cost of handling though.
The standard variant of the Ford TS50 is unlocked upon collecting 5,000 NFS Points. For the "NFS Edition" and police variant, 10,000 NFS Points are required.
In the PlayStation 2 release, Championship event 3 must be completed successfully to unlock the stock variant. For the "NFS Edition", a World Racing Knockout must be won.
