Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH is a German supercar manufacturer founded in 2005. Although being a small company consisting of 45 employees, the only model made so far - the Gumpert apollo - is notable for beating numerous similar sports cars in various tracks such as the Top Gear test track.
There's also a more powerful variant of the car known as the Gumpert apollo s, which achieved a time of 1:17.10 at the track, being faster than the Koenigsegg CCX and Ferrari Enzo. Gumpert filed for bankruptcy in August 2013 following a pulled investment from an anonymous backer.
