The HSV GTS (VT) is a high-performance variant of the VT Series I Commodore produced by Holden. The VT GTS features a 5.7L V8 engine paired to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The VT GTS succeeded the VS GTS and received a VT Series II revision in 2000 before being replaced by the VX GTS.

Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit

The GTS appears in the Australian PC release of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit as a class C vehicle.

Need for Speed: High Stakes

The GTS appears in the Australian PlayStation release of Need for Speed: High Stakes with the price tag of $25,000 and replacing the SV99 featured in the Australian PC release.

The GTS has responsive braking and decent top speed, useful enough to compete with the vehicles of its class, as well the stronger ones.

Pursuit

The Pursuit variant is available from the start, and arresting 10 speeders with it unlocks the Pursuit Lamborghini Diablo SV.

Due to Durham Road being set in Australia in the Australian PlayStation release, HSV VT GTS cop cars will chase players racing with lower class cars in Hot Pursuit mode instead of British police variants of the BMW M5 seen in other PlayStation releases.
