The 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 is a mid-engine sportscar manufactured and developed by Lamborghini.
Revealed in December 2013 before being shown at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, it entered production not long after in March 2014 as a replacement for the Gallardo; one of the most popular Lamborghini cars and making up nearly 50% of all Lamborghini cars built.
It is fitted with the same 5.2-litre V10 previously used for the Gallardo LP 560-4, although with an increase in power output, and Lamborghini's new LDF (Lamborghini Doppia Frizione) dual-clutch 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Its chassis is an integrated spaceframe structure of carbon-fibre and aluminium dubbed a "hybrid chassis" by Lamborghini, but creates a lightweight-focused platform and a reduced kerb weight over the Gallardo.
There are three dynamic modes that can be selected with each offering a different performance configuration; Stadia, Sport, and Corsa. Each offers a different amount of responsiveness for the suspension, gearbox, and throttle.
"Huracán" means "Hurricane" in Spanish, although the name was chosen by Lamborghini after a "defiant and invincible" fighting bull that fought in Alicante, Spain in 1879.
Production ran from March 2014 until spring 2019, with the Evo replacing it in early 2019. A Spyder went on sale in early 2015 alongside a slightly lower performance model: the LP 580-2.
