Mercury was an American car manufacturer founded by Edsel Ford in 1938 as an creator of entry-level luxury cars between regular Ford models and high-end Lincoln models.
Many of the Mercury vehicles were based on Ford platforms although a distinct lack in personality from other Ford models resulted in the brand's miniscule attention.
