Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) features various downloadable content packs that contain additional features including additional events, multiplayer game modes, and vehicles.

Limited Edition

The Limited Edition release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) was made available for pre-order following a press release by Electronic Arts on July 17, 2010[1].

The special release was made available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 includes the base game as well as two exclusive racer vehicles;

It also includes an early unlock for four vehicles across both the Seacrest County Police Department and racers;

Dr. Pepper Promotion

The Dr. Pepper Promotion was a promotion tied to various EA products including Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield Heroes, Mass Effect 2, The Sims 3, and Spore.

Redeeming a Dr. Pepper promotional code and selecting one of the four racer vehicles will unlock that vehicle for use in career and multiplayer on the platform selected. Each redeem code can only be used once, but the vehicle is available for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 releases of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010).

Timesavers

Two Timesavers packs were made available on November 16, 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases, with each unlocking vehicles within one of the two factions.

Racer Timesavers

The Racer Timesavers pack unlocks all racer vehicles, within the base game, for usage across both the career and multiplayer.

SCPD Timesavers

The SCPD Timesavers pack unlocks all police vehicles, within the base game, for usage across both the career and multiplayer.

SCPD Rebels

The SCPD Rebels pack was made available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases being made available on November 24, 2010. The pack includes seven vehicles for the racer faction that are only available as SCPD units in the base game;

The vehicles were also included as part of a special EA Crew Edition PC release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) that was given to various members of the Criterion Games development team in December 2010.

Super Sports

The Super Sports pack was made available for purchase on December 21, 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases. The pack includes;

  • 5 SCPD events
  • 8 Racer events
  • 11 Achievements / Trophies

Each vehicle included in the pack can be purchased individually, but will only include a few additional events associated with that vehicle.

Armed and Dangerous

The Armed and Dangerous pack was made available for purchase on February 22, 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases. The pack includes two multiplayer gamemodes;

Lamborghini Untamed

Porsche Unleashed

The Porsche Unleashed pack was made available for purchase on March 8, 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases. The pack includes;
