Lightweight Chassis

Lightweight Chassis is a vehicle modification in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012). It is available for all vehicles in both single player and multiplayer.

Equipping the Lightweight Chassis modification improves a vehicle's acceleration and control capabilities as well as reducing weight at the expense of a reduction in stock toughness.

The professional Lightweight Chassis modification improves a vehicle's acceleration and control capabilities as well as reducing weight without a reduction in stock toughness.

Single Player

The standard Lightweight Chassis modification is unlocked in single player through the completion of a specific event that differs per vehicle.

The professional modification is unlocked upon the player earning a total of 60 seconds of Air Time with Lightweight Chassis equipped.

The standard and professional variations of the Lightweight Chassis mod has to be unlocked individually for each vehicle in single player.

Multiplayer

The standard Lightweight Chassis modification is unlocked in multiplayer for a vehicle upon the player reaching a specific milestone for that vehicle.

The professional modification is unlocked upon the player jumping a total of 15,000 yards (13,716 metres) with the standard Lightweight Chassis mod equipped to any vehicle during SpeedLists.

The standard Lightweight Chassis mod has to be has to be unlocked individually for each vehicle in multiplayer. The professional modification is unlocked for any vehicle that the player has met the requirements of the standard modification for.
