Best in Class cars in Need for Speed: World were a series of styles of vehicle models that are at the highest performance rating within a certain class. The series was first introduced on December 16th, 2012 with the release of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione "A-Spec". Players could purchase them for SpeedBoost or obtain them as gifts from a Top-Up.
Each 'Best in Class' (BIC) vehicle is equipped with a mixed set of performance parts to increase the performance rating of the vehicle to the maximum performance rating possible for a certain car class.
'Best in Class' vehicles feature sponsor decals, racing vinyls and colour scheme inspired by track day racing cars. They are equipped with an aftermarket body kit, hood, spoiler and wheels as well as each vehicle having a unique license plate.
A Car Pack featuring the A-Spec variations of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Renault Mégane R.S. was added to the Web Deals store of the official Need for Speed: World homepage on April 11th, 2013. The Mégane RS A-Spec was previously only obtainable through the purchase of this pack.
All 'Best in Class' style vehicles were made permanently available for purchase in the car dealer on January 27th, 2015. The price of each 'Best in Class' vehicle was also standardised based on their performance rating.
