Oil Slick is an equipment weapon seen in the iOS releases of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010).
It can be used against cops and other racers. The Oil Slick can cause cops or other racers to lose control of their vehicle after driving over it.
It can be replaced by Spike Strips.
