The Palmont Police Department (PPD) is a law enforcement agency featured in Need for Speed: World. The PPD currently resides within all districts of Palmont City and Rockport.
The Palmont Police Department initially patrolled through several areas of Tri-City with Civic Patrol cars. They would engage a street racing suspect upon a police vehicle incurring criminal damage from a privately owned vehicle.
The PPD discontinued active patrols through the streets of Tri-City on November 16th, 2011 due to an overbearing presence on the roads. They have since adopted alternative strategies to engage during single suspect pursuits and multiple suspect pursuits.
They will commit an endless number of police units during a police pursuit. The PPD enlists the resources of different grades of law enforcement. The vehicle grade, acceptable tactics and aggressive actions alter as a vehicle is tracked through a Heat Level system.
Vehicles at a higher condition Heat Level will be engaged by higher grades of police enforcement by the PPD.
