The 1998 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (996) is a close-to-production race variant of the Porsche 996 Carrera. It was developed to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup and in other racing series. The 996 GT3 Cup is the first model within the GT3 Cup series to use a watercooled flat-six engine.

Need for Speed: Porsche UnleashedEdit

The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (996) appears as a Modern Era Race Class car in Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. It is only available as an add-on car and not purchaseable in Evolution mode.

Similar to the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.4, the GT3 Cup handles well in corners. Its powerful engine allows it to keep up with most Modern Era cars.
