Safehouses are special hideouts where the player can select vehicles. They can be found in every Need for Speed title that features free roam single player career.

Need for Speed: Underground 2Edit

  • Players can visit multiple Safehouses around Bayview.
  • Player can choose which of their acquired vehicles to drive in the free roam career.

Need for Speed: Most WantedEdit

  • Players can visit multiple Safehouses around Rockport.
  • Player can choose which of their acquired vehicles to drive in the free roam career.
  • Players can select which events to participate in.
  • Players can immediately end a pursuit if they enter any Safehouse in Cooldown mode.
  • Players can not enter any of their Safehouses in a Heat Level 6 pursuit, except Challenge Series event number 68.

Need for Speed: CarbonEdit

  • Players can visit multiple Safehouses around Palmont City.
  • Player can choose which of their acquired vehicles to drive in the free roam career.
  • Players can select which events to participate in.
  • Players can purchase and adjust modification parts without visiting a Tuning Shop.

Need for Speed: UndercoverEdit

  • Players can visit multiple Safehouses around Tri-City.
  • Player can choose which of their acquired vehicles to drive in the free roam career.
  • Players can purchase and adjust modification parts without visiting a Tuning Shop.
  • Players can access the Car Dealership from within the Safehouse or pause menu.

  • Players can only access the Safehouse by pressing "H" or by clicking the icon along the top of the screen during free roam.
  • Players can visit multiple Safehouses around the game environment.
  • Player can choose which of their acquired vehicles to drive in the free roam career.
  • Players can purchase and adjust modification parts without visiting a Tuning Shop.
  • Players can access the Car Dealership from within the Safehouse.

Need for Speed: RivalsEdit

  • Players can enter Hideouts or Command Posts to modify a car's performance, change cars, select Speedlists, personalise their car and to upgrade or buy new Pursuit Tech.
  • Racers can bank their earned Speed Points by entering a Hideout.
