Spinners are a type of hubcap that spins by themselves in the wheel while the vehicle is in motion and even continues to spin after the vehicle has stopped via momentum. In the Need for Speed series, spinners have only made an appearance in Need for Speed: Underground 2.

Part of the Specialty Modifications, spinners are unlocked later in career mode, available at any Specialty shop in Bayview. They give the player more star rating on their current car than regular rims do, which can help in magazine offers; they do not affect the car's performance in any way.
