The Subaru Impreza WRX STi (GDB-C) is a revised variant of the 2001 - 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Aside from new headlights and a larger hoodscoop, the 2004 WRX STi gained ten additional horsepower with a turbocharged 2.0L Flat-4 engine.

Need for Speed: Underground 2Edit

In Need for Speed: Underground 2, the 2004 Impreza WRX STi is unlocked at level 5 in career mode. The player will unlock the car once the last URL race of the game has been completed.

Compared to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, it has a less precise handling, but it does have quicker acceleration and a higher top speed.

In comparison to the other vehicles in-game, the Impreza WRX STi is an excellent car to drive overall. Its top speed and acceleration are good and its handling is moderate, but can be improved by upgrades.

Need for Speed: Underground RivalsEdit

The 2004 Impreza WRX STi is purchasable for $46,000 in Need for Speed: Underground Rivals. It is also used as a boss car in the game.

Need for Speed: Most WantedEdit

The 2004 Impreza WRX STi appears in Need for Speed: Most Wanted and is unlocked after defeating Blacklist driver #9, Earl. It is purchasable for $42,000.

It has superior stock performance in contrast to the Lancer Evolution VIII, although the Lancer Evolution will have a higher top speed if both cars are fully upgraded.

Overall, the Impreza WRX STi is one of the quickest Japanese cars in Most Wanted, but struggles to keep up with more powerful sports cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette C6.

In the Game Boy Advance release, the car is unlocked after defeating Izzy. Players need 3,000 Reputation points to get the car.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0Edit

In Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0, the Impreza WRX STi is unlocked in the same way as in the main release, but costs $34,000.
