Free time is a valuable commodity that's in short supply, but it's done.
What's Really Going To Happen?[]
The last blog post all about featured articles may have been over a month a a half ago, and outlined how the new articles will be handled by community members, but it'll now work a little differently.
A NEW design of the previously new design has been toyed with and effectively works to show two articles at once instead of two!
Why were three articles dropped? The available space given across the width of the main page for users with different screen resolution was too varied to make five articles possible. Two allows for a little bit of text to accompany each image, and also allows for the same information to be displayed on a narrow screen, such as a portrait held tablet, and a widescreen computer monitor.
Choosing Articles[]
It will still be the first community driven project on this wikia!
The two featured articles are chosen at random each time a user visits the main page. This way there will be an equal chance of each added user's choices being shown as a wiki featured article!
All wikia users will be able to post a comment on this blog post with as little or as much as they would to contribute. There are now seven categories of featured content;
- Car - Any car article.
- Location - Any city, district or borough article
- Item - Any performance part, aftermarket part, vinyl category or player bling article.
- Character - Any character article.
- Event - Any race route, real world track, challenge event or game mode article.
- Song - Any song featured in a Need for Speed game soundtrack.
- Game - Any specific title in the series or DLC pack.
